Proud Management of Devamatha Hospital

“My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor. 12/9)

We are delighted to welcome you to Deva Matha Hospital Koothattukulam, a place where advanced and exceptional medical care is offered, especially in emergency situations. Our establishment is a realization of the long-held aspirations of the community of Koothattukulam, driven by the Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (SABS) to commemorate the Birth Centenary of Mar Thomas Kurialacherry, our founder. On February 14, 1975, the hospital was solemnly blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr. Sebastian Vayalil, the then Bishop of Palai, in the esteemed presence of his successor, Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Pallickaparampil.

One of the first milestones is the gastroenterology department of the Devamatha hospital and the first of its kind in the private sector in Kerala launched in the year 1983. Another feather added to the crown is that it is the first NABH Safe-Iaccredited private sector hospital in Kerala and the second private sector hospital in the whole of India.

At Deva Matha, our values serve as a compass, guiding us in how we care for our patients, their families, and each other. Kindness, respect, accountability, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence are deeply ingrained in our culture. We are proud of the positive environment we have fostered and the excellent reputation we have built over the past 48 years.

It is the exceptional care we deliver every day to each and every patient across our hospital that has established our reputable standing, a testament to the grace of the Almighty. We aim for Devamatha to be a catalyst for positive change in the healthcare sector, setting an example and reaching higher grounds. By actively engaging with our doctors, staff, and well-wishers, we strive to implement best practices and outcome-focused treatment models. Ultimately, our goal is to ensure the sustainability of the healthcare system at Devamatha, offering innovative approaches to care, enhancing the patient experience, optimizing existing infrastructure, and utilizing healthcare resources efficiently.

Together with our doctors, we seek to implement best practice models of care to improve recovery times, shorten hospital stays, and achieve better patient outcomes. Furthermore, we have initiated personalized patient journey programs that prioritize individualized and compassionate care.

Equally important is the well-being of our staff. We believe that by caring for them, we empower them to provide excellent care for our patients. We are excited to support our staff in their personal and professional growth, fostering confidence, resilience, job satisfaction, and overall well-being.

Now, we are on a mission to redefine what hospital care should look like and elevate the healthcare system as a whole. Each and every one of us has the power to make a difference and contribute to these significant outcomes. When we step into our hospital each day, we accept the responsibility of creating a positive patient experience. This focus is worth pursuing as we carry out our daily roles.

Our primary goal is to ensure accessible and comprehensive healthcare for all, making it easy to receive care when and where it is needed the most.

It is our privilege and honor to be part of an extraordinary team of passionate individuals dedicated for providing the very best care for our patients and their families. I eagerly look forward to address any concerns, comments, or recommendations because your feedback keeps us moving forward.

May the Holy Mary, our intercessor and protector of this institution, guide and safeguard us all, as well as all those who seek good health and well-being here.

"Let the favour of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands." (Psalms 90/17)
